International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated globally every year on March 8.
History of International Women’s Day
In 1910, Clara Zetkin, the leader of the Women’s Office for the Social Democratic Party in Germany tabled the idea of an International Women’s Day at the second International Conference of Working Women in Copenhagen.
Cooking can sometimes seem like a chore at the best times and come summertime with the mercury and humidity rising, the last place we want to be is next to a simmering stove. This doesn’t mean we should throw in the towel and opt for take-away or microwave meals every night. There are plenty of healthy recipes to follow to ensure we are still getting the nutrients we need with minimal fuss and without breaking a sweat.
With Christmas and New Year behind us, the opportunities to dress festively seem to be dwindling… until Valentine’s Day that is! Whether celebrating your relationship or using the day as an excuse to indulge in a bit of self-pampering, Valentine’s Day makes for the perfect excuse to add a little romance to your outfit. From your day at the office to casual lunches and long, starry eyed dinners, here are four outfits to take you through from dawn to dusk this February 14th.

After President Kennedy is assassinated, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy fights through the trauma and despair to regain her faith, support her children and define her husband’s legacy. Directed by Pablo Larraín, Natalie Portman stars in Jackie, an original, unflinching and intimate portrait of one of history’s most iconic women.

We sat down with the finalists and asked: “What inspired you to start your own business?”
We all enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the working week or whilst curled up on the couch during winter, but wine is generally best served accompanied by your favourite dish.
The challenge then lies in which wine do you pair with what type of food. If done right, it will be sure to make your culinary experience that much more enjoyable and will add to the flavours and experience. A simple formula to follow is to try and pair the characteristics of both the food and wine as closely as possible in order to complement one another.
